New Samyang 10mm f/2.8 ED AS NCS CS Lens is a ultra wide-angle manual focus lens designed for CS / cropped sensors APS-C cameras.
The Samyang 10mm is a compact lens, super wide angle prime lens offering excellent optical quality and resolution, and superb value, as you would expect from Samyang. Ideal for indoor, architecture and landscape photography the Samyang 10mm lens provides an exceptionally wide field of view of up to 109.5 degrees rectilinear image.
The Samyang 10mm f/2.8 ED AS NCS CS is the first Samyang Optics lens to feature a brand new nano crystal anti-reflection coating system (NCS). These new coating provides even lower reflection factor than Samyang's UMC coatings. The NCS coating technology offers exacting process to apply anti-reflection coating more evenly on the surface of the lens. Other benefits brought by the nano crystal layer include improved light transmission, increased resistance to reflections resulting in maximum image contrast.
Coupled with a aperture of f2.8, which is considered fast for such a wide angle lens, offers good low light capabilities. Maximum aperture of f22.
As with all Samyang lenses, the 10mm is very well built for a lens in its class. Optical construction is 14 elements divided into 10 groups, including 2 aspherical AS lenses and one extra-low dispersion glass element. The Samyang 10mm features a fixed, built-in lens hood.
